Match Report - WIVENHOE UNITED FC UNDER 8s REDS

A warm sunny Sunday in Bures saw the under 8's (Reds) get their league campaign underway.

With Mason and Aidan making their league debuts for the club, we fielded a strong team in the hope we would give Bures United a competitive game.

Both teams started strongly, with lots of good passing and efforts on goal. It was end to end entertainment at times!

Alexander had a blinding game in goal and made some fantastic saves throughout, bravely putting his body on the line to protect his goal.

Riley and Henry both put in some strong challenges in defence holding the shape of the defence really well.

Isaacs moment of the game saw him take a superb throw in in the attacking half to Noah who took one touch before firing the ball into the back of the net! Best goal of the game!

Aidan's debut performance was one to be very proud of and he was keenly supported by his friends and family.

Hector showed real desire to win the ball back for the team and pressed really well from the front.

Mason showed great improvements and has really taken on the key points we've been working on at training with positioning and formation.

Zach worked extremely hard, as always, and cooly slotted his shot past the goalkeeper.
