Under 9's Match Report - Sunday 13th September

Wivenhoe Utd v Boxted Lodgers.

The U9's started their 2020/21 season off with a home game against a very experienced Boxted team.

Team selection worries plagued the manager 24 hours before the game but some late fitness tests meant that he could field 8 players on the day.

A bright sunny morning at Elmstead as the game got underway. Wivenhoe started with Redford playing his first ever game in goal. Tiger twins Bailey and Mason in defence. Midfield trio of Sam, Mitchell and George and Teddy up front.

The first half saw some skilled defence from the Tiger Twins and Emily making her debut - replacing Teddy up front.

Half time and time to regroup.

The players looked fired up for the second half. Mason was back on for his brother Bailey and was put up front with George taking his place at the back. Another change by the home manager saw Bailey come back on this time for Mitchell who had not stopped running and chasing all game. Player of the match Redford.
